• Manage compute resource statistics

• Manage network resource statistics

• Display storage resource usage statistics

• Manage Top N statistics

• Manage VM shutdown time statistics

Custom monitor

Perform this task to configure monitor items as needed, collect statistics about concerned monitor

metrics, and display monitor results in real time on the management platform. This feature helps users promptly detect and handle service faults and ensures stable service operation. Main features include:

• Monitor objects

• Monitor metrics

Monitor objects

Use this function to perform centralized configuration and management of monitored resources such

as clusters, hosts, and VMs on the management platform. Administrators can flexibly define, adjust, view, and delete monitor rules for single or multiple monitor objects, which enables continuous monitoring and data analysis of key resource status and performance metrics. This function supports configuring monitor objects in bulk or configuring a single monitor object, improving rule management efficiency and helping build an efficient and controllable monitor system.

Add rules for different monitor objects in bulk

Perform this task to create and apply monitor rules for multiple monitor objects in bulk, enabling unified configuration and centralized management of monitor policies. It effectively reduces repetitive operations, improves configuration efficiency, and ensures rule consistency.

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Ops.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Report > Custom Monitor.

  3. Click the Monitor Objects tab, and then select Cluster/Host/VM.

  4. Click Bulk Add.

  5. In the Basic Info dialog box, configure the parameters, and then click Next.

    ○ Rule Name: Specify the rule name.

    ○ Rule Description: Specify the description for the rule.

    ○ Object Type: Select the type of monitored objects.

    ○ Select Metrics: Select monitor metrics. You must select a minimum of one metric. The available monitor metrics vary by monitor object.

  6. In the Select Objects dialog box, click Add. Select the objects to be monitored, and then click OK. You must select a minimum of one object.

  7. To delete objects, use either of the following methods. Reserve a minimum of one object for each rule.

    ○ To delete objects in bulk, select the target objects, and then click Delete.

    ○ To delete a single object, click Delete in the Actions column for that object.

  8. (Optional.) To return to the Basic Info dialog box, click Previous.

  9. (Optional.) To cancel the configuration, click Cancel.

  10. Click OK.

  11. (Optional.) Select a rule on the left or click the rule name link in the Rule Name column for a rule to obtain the corresponding monitoring data. Click the icon, select a time span, and then click Export or Export Raw Data to export the corresponding data.

Add/Edit/View rules for a monitor object

Perform this task to add, edit, and view monitor rules for a single monitor object. Administrators can flexibly configure monitor metrics and rule parameters to precisely control the monitor policy for a single object, and can directly view detailed rule configuration and related monitoring data to ensure monitor accuracy and management controllability.

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Ops.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Report > Custom Monitor.

  3. Click the Monitor Objects tab.

  4. Select a monitor object on the left.

  5. Click Add to add a rule.

  6. (Optional.) Click Edit in the Actions column for a rule to edit the rule.

  7. Configure the rule parameters.

    ○ Object Name: Name of the monitor object, which cannot be edited.

    ○ Rule Name: Enter the name of the rule.

    ○ Rule Description: Enter the description for the rule.

  9. Click OK.

  10. (Optional.) To view the configuration of an existing rule, click View in the Actions column for that rule.

Monitor metrics

Use monitor metrics to perform continuous monitoring and data analysis on key metrics of resources

such as clusters, hosts, and VMs. Administrators can flexibly configure, edit, and view various monitor metrics.

  7. In the Select Objects dialog box, click Add. Select the objects to be monitored, and then click OK. You can search for objects by using the search box, and you must select a minimum of one object. If an operator does not have access permissions to an object or an object has been deleted, the data related to that object will be hidden on the interface. This might cause the total number of objects displayed on the interface to be inconsistent with the actual number of objects associated with the rule. For example, the total number of objects might be 0.

  8. (Optional.) To delete objects, use either of the following methods. Reserve a minimum of one object for each rule.

    ○ To delete a single object, click Delete in the Actions column for that object.
