Tencent OS licensing
This feature is displayed only when a host running the Tencent OS acts as the management platform.
This feature simplifies the management and activation of hosts running the Tencent OS. It allows users to view the total number of hosts running the Tencent OS that have been added to the platform (including registered and unregistered hosts and hosts failed to be scanned) and to monitor the activation state of hosts in real time. Users can register with Technical Support by downloading the host information file and then import the host activation file to the platform. This helps centralized management over license information. The system prompts the unregistered hosts at the top of the page. For products to operate correctly, register the hosts immediately.

PolarDB licensing
This feature is displayed only when a host running the Tencent OS acts as the system.
When the underlying operating system of the management platform is Tencent OS, the database middleware used is PolarDB. The use of this middleware requires authorized activation. The PolarDB authorization function is designed to simplify the management and activation of PolarDB authorizations. This function allows users to view the MAC addresses of network cards in the system, the PolarDB System Identifier, and the License validity period. Users can register using the MAC address information of the host's network card, then import the obtained authorization file into the management platform for activation. If a user fails to complete registration (the probationary period is 30 days), an alarm prompt will be displayed at the top of the management platform interface 30 days in advance. It is recommended that users complete registration as soon as possible to avoid affecting the normal use of PolarDB product functions.
Restrictions and guidelines
In the stateful failover scenario, complete registration on both the primary and backup nodes to avoid affecting primary/backup switchover.
Procedure
-
On the top navigation bar, click System.
-
From the left navigation pane, select Licenses.
-
Click the PolarDB License tab. You can view the MAC addresses of NICs in the system, system identifier of PolarDB, and license validity.
